Airport operator Hermes Airports has submitted a planning application for the expansion of Paphos Airport.
Hermes Airports has commissioned an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) study for the expansion works as part of the planning process.
The Municipality of Eastern Paphos announced that a public presentation of the preliminary EIA study, prepared by a consultancy firm, will take place today at 6 p.m. local time at the Timis Municipal District Events Hall.
Under current legislation, project developers must conduct public consultations and hold at least one public presentation before finalising environmental impact studies. This requirement allows local authorities and the public to provide feedback on potential environmental impacts.
The draft environmental assessment has been made public to enable stakeholders to submit comments and proposals regarding the project’s environmental impact during both the construction and operational phases.
